How to find motivation, when you're feeling unmotivated. 🚶

Outside my house sits a tiny bird's nest that receives more flights than La Guardia International Airport .

From my home office, I hear the constant chitter of a mother bird going back and forth from the nest to bring her chicks food.

Her endurance and persistence are pretty impressive — and I truly admire her drive that never seems to wane.

She is motivated by instinct — knowing that her babies' lives depend on her scrounging. And as the evidence shows, that's one powerful motivator.

However, not all motivation is as strong

What happens when you need to be motivated but can't find the power to get up and get going

What happens when it's just a struggle to find the want to be motivated?

Some of us find this especially true when it comes to personal growth.

We all have seasons where we are more or less motivated to take the action we need to take.

But our motivation to grow is one that we must sustain, like a mother bird's motivation to provide for her chicks.

Socrates says, "Let him that would move the world first move himself."

Changing the world starts with changing ourselves.

And so we must always find the motivation to move and grow into the best version of ourselves.  The density of our legacy depends on it!

Part of why we believe so strongly in the power of coaching is because it creates an environment to make catalytic personal change.

And how does it do that?

I'm glad you asked.

I'll share more in the video.
