How do you know when it's time for an upgrade?

Well, it depends on what you're upgrading...

  • If it's your TV -- it's probably time to upgrade when your old TV is broken or performing sub-par, and it's not economical to have it fixed.

  • If it's your CAR -- it's probably time to upgrade when your old car becomes consistently unsafe, unreliable, and too expensive to keep fixing.

  • If it's your PHONE -- it's probably time to upgrade when your old phone freezes, won't charge, or will no longer operate as needed.

It's somewhat easy to know when items like this need upgrading. For upgrades like this, you shop around and make a purchase.

But, how about your mindset?

When is it time to upgrade your mindset?

  • It's probably time to upgrade your mindset when you consistently feel drained, worried, and overwhelmed

  • It's probably time to upgrade your mindset when you feel inadequate, insignificant, and incapable of making change.

  • Finally, it's probably time to upgrade your mindset when you feel stuck, stagnant, and unable to gain traction in a particular area of your life.

When these things occur, it's time to consider upgrading your mindset. And, the funny thing about a mindset is that you can't just shop around for a new one.
