Legacy Quotes | Michael Angier

If you develop habits of success you'll make success a habit. -Michael Angier

How are your habits treating you?

Some of the most successful people I know are the ones who have built the most healthy and productive habits.

You see, habits are powerful tools to keep you on track for success.

We form habits through the activities we frequently do.

Repeated behaviors make up a substantial portion of your life. Psychologists at the University of Southern California believe that our habits account for about 45% of our daily lives. 45%!

We are, quite literally, creatures of habit. You might ask, "Why are our brains designed that way?"

Well, to put it simply, your brain is designed to operate at a maximum level of efficiency. Think about it. If you had to consciously think through every decision you make or action you take, you would never get anything done. Just getting out the door in the morning would be a significant accomplishment. Our brains are designed to automate as many of the regular, consistent tasks of life as possible to run more efficiently and conserve energy.

As our brains learn to automate the activities that point us in the direction of success, health, and legacy we one day hope to leave -- we move toward these things with ease.

Just as negative habits can break us down, positive habits are vital as we move forward towards success.

What success habits do you need to begin building today to ensure a series of successful tomorrows?

Don't wait — begin building positive habits today!
